It wasn't too long ago that I was still buying canned beans from the store. At the time it seemed more convenient and I liked the way that the beans held up when using them. But now that we have out instant pot I realize that it's way easier and delicious to make your own pinto beans at home. These are so great because of how versatile they are. We use these in a bunch of Mexican dishes throughout the week, and I also love adding them to my Southwest Spinach Salad!

Here's what you will need!
1 cup of dry pinto beans
4 cups of water
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
Add all of the ingredients into the instantpot
Set instantpot for 30 minutes on the pressure cook setting
Quick release
Enjoy!

what if you don't have an instant pot? How long do you cook the beans?
