Hey guys I have been getting a lot of requests to do some non-banana based nice cream recipes so I bought some fresh cherries for some upcoming recipes. You can buy frozen and pitted cherries at the store but I find them lacking flavor and very expensive. And this time of year cherries are everywhere and very reasonably priced. So I thought I would do a quick video on how easy it is to pit fresh cherries.
Here's what you will need!
Fresh Cherries
A large stainless steel reusable straw
Wax or parchment paper
Baking sheet
Directions:
Press the straw over the stem and through the middle of the cherry
Push straw all the way through (the pit should be inside the straw)
Place pitted cherries on a baking sheet covered in wax or parchment paper
Freeze for 8-12 hours
Transfer to a freezer safe container
Enjoy!
